Built from the Ground Up: The Story Behind Nikki’s Western Outfitters

Nikki’s Western Outfitters was founded in 2023, but the story started long before that—on a horse farm, surrounded by the outdoors, wildlife, and a deep love for everything Western. From a young age, I was drawn to hard work, horses, hunting, fishing, and the kind of lifestyle that doesn’t come from sitting behind a desk.

I left school in grade 11, worked days in a concrete factory, and finished school at night. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to build, but I knew I wanted to create something of my own—something that reflected my passion, my roots, and the life I loved. At eight years old, I dreamed of creating something like Bass Pro Shops, big, bold, and full of life. I didn’t have a roadmap, just a work ethic and a vision.

Years of cutting concrete, bartending, and working weekends at the gun shop taught me discipline and drive. I saved every dollar, knowing one day it would fuel something bigger. That moment came at 17, when I attended my first trade show. It was my first time on a plane, and the experience changed everything. I came home inspired and went all in—placing massive orders, filling my parents’ basement with inventory, and building the foundation of Nikki’s Western Outfitters.

From rodeos to pop-up shops, I hit the road with my sister and a small crew, setting up wherever we could. Eventually, the basement couldn’t hold it all, so I opened a warehouse in Tillsonburg. Now, we’re open Tuesdays and Saturdays, and we’re renovating our first retail store—set to open just in time for Christmas.

This journey has been built on faith, family, and the support of loyal customers and friends who’ve been with us since day one. To my mom—thank you for believing in me, even when the path wasn’t clear. To our community—thank you for helping us grow from the ground up.

Nikki’s Western Outfitters is more than a brand. It’s a dream built on grit, long hours, and the belief that anything is possible when you work hard enough. I can’t wait to welcome you to our store, meet you at the next rodeo, and keep building something truly special—together.

And of course, this is just the short version. If I told you the whole story, I’d be writing for days. But I wanted to share the basics so you have a little understanding of who we are, where we came from, and what Nikki’s Western Outfitters is all about.
